British Orienteering is seeking to appoint a dynamic individual who will provide leadership to the Development team and advise the Board on strategic planning.

Sport England has invested £2.3m into British Orienteering from 2013-2017 to increase the number of people taking part in orienteering. The successful candidate will be responsible for the Sport England funded participation programmes and ensuring that the participation pathway to traditional orienteering events is delivered. The successful candidate will also work with clubs and volunteers to enhance the experiences that participants have at events and support volunteers through training and recognition.
The successful candidate will be an experienced manager with an open, consultative management style, setting a strong and distinctive ‘performance’ culture. They will need to be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of volunteers and stakeholders and work closely with our partners.
The role is full time and based at the National Office in Matlock, Derbyshire.
