| Description: | Terrain: Mature coniferous forest on the northern slope down from the North York Moors, with a very recently felled and tidied area providing an interesting contrast. Eastern parts of the map feature large boulders, steep-sided stream courses and few tracks. Full arm cover is recommended. --------------------------------Map: 1:10,000 scale. A4 size. The eastern forest section of the map has been updated and extended for this event by Paul Taylor. Courses will be overprinted on the maps, which will be printed on waterproof paper --------------------Facilities: Toilets in the Assembly Area. First aid at the Finish ------------------------Safety: Please make sure that you report to Download even if you have not completed your course. CLOK strongly recommends that you carry a whistle whilst participating in this (and every) orienteering event. Please remember that competitors take part at their own risk. Orienteering is an adventure sport – your safety while orienteering is your own responsibility. |
