Head up Station Road to town and turn left along High Street. Pass Shell Garage then turn right before mini roundabout into Lower Bury Lane. School entrance is at end of this road.

Courses

Course description:The British Orienteering colour courses for regional standard events are being offered. Mens Open – “Black” – Tough physically demanding course, approx 11km “as the crow flies” but expect to run further depending on your navigation ability and route choice. Three hour time limit, although the winner will be closer to 60 mins. Entry is open to all but most competitors will be male 18-35. 11.6km M21L Brown – Equivalent to Black except for a shorter course length, circa 9km as the crow flies. Entry is open to all but most competitors will be male 35-45. 9.5km M35L, M40L Women’s Open – “Short Brown” – The women’s open classes will be fought on this course, approx 8km as the crow flies, with navigational challenge as tough as the Black and Brown courses. 8.5km M18L, M20L, M45L, M50L, M21S, W21L Blue (Boys) – approx 6km course for males aged 15-18 (Veterans) – mens veterans 45-60 and women 35-45. 7.2km M16, M55L, M60L, M35S, M40S, W35L, W40L Short Blue 6.0km M65L, M18S, M20S, M45S, M50S, W18L, W20L, W45L, W50L, W21S Green - females 15-18, mens veterans 60+, womens veterans 45+. 4.7km M70L, M55S, M60S, W16, W55L, W60L, W35S, W40S Short Green 3.7km M75L, M80, M65S, M70S, W65L, W70L, W75L, W80, W45S, W50S, W55S, W60S Very Short Green 2.8km W65S, W70S, W75S Light Green – junior boys 13-15 and junior girls 13-15. Technical difficulty suitable for regular orienteers in this age group. Novices in these age groups should try the Orange course. 4.2km M14, W14 Long Orange – Adult novice course, easiest technical difficulty of the adult courses with a course length of approx 4km. Suitable for relative newcomers and runners trying out forest orienteering for the first time. All entries for this course are on the day only, no pre-entries. 4.0km. Orange 3.0km M12, W12 Yellow 2.1km M10, W10 White - This course is aimed at junior beginners. All entries for this course are on the day only, no pre-entries. 1.7km
