| Parking information: | Boltby Forest and Dale Town Moor are situated in the south-west corner of the North York Moors, north-east of Thirsk. The route will be signposted from the A170 at the top of Sutton Bank. Car parking is at the small car park at the top of Sneck Yate Bank at grid reference SE 510876. Overflow parking will be on the roadside. |

| Description: | Typical North Yorks open moorland enclosed by stone walls. Map: 1:10,000 scale. Printed on waterproof paper Juniors: 5:30 p.m. - 7 p.m. Seniors: 6 p.m. - 7 p.m. All courses close at 8 p.m. Safety: Please make sure that you download even if you do not complete your course. The moorland is enclosed so if you get totally lost the safety bearng back to the finish is S/SW. You must carry a whistle and wear or carry a cagoule whilst participating in this event. Please remember that competitors take part at their own risk. Orienteering is an adventure sport – your safety while orienteering is your own responsibility. The start is a brisk 15 minute walk from the Assembly Area Note: If you are going to bring a group of competitors to this event then please contact the Organiser in advance so that we can arrange to print sufficient maps |
