Parking information:Registration will be in Fylingdales Village Hall, The Old Station car park, Robin Hoods Bay, south-east of Whitby. The grid reference is NZ 950054 and the postcode is YO22 4RA. From the north and west: Take the A171 through Whitby to Hawsker, and then turn left on to the B1447 to Robin Hoods Bay. Entering upper village, turn right into first public car park. From Scarborough: Take the A171 to Fylingdales Moor (grid reference NZ 922045). Turn right on to a minor road signed 'Robin Hoods Bay / Fylingthorpe'. Continue through Fylingthorpe to upper Robin Hoods Bay, turn left at T-junction to join B1447, go past the tennis courts and turn left into the car park. Parking will be in the public car park. Charges should not apply in November.
Dog rules:Dogs are welcome if kept under control in the parking area. Dogs are not allowed on the courses.

Description:errain: Historic compact fishing village on a steep slope with network of narrow 'yards' and passageways. Cliff-top fields and (possibly) rocky seashore and beach. Specific hazards: Slippery stone steps when wet (or icy!). Slippery rocks on the shore. Light traffic on the access road. Members of the public ambling in narrow passages. Please be considerate to other people and respect private / out-of-bounds places as shown on map. Map: 1:2,500 scale. A4 size New map by Catherine and Paul Taylor. The courses will be overprinted on the maps, which will be printed on waterproof paper. Please note that if there is an unexpectedly large entry you may be asked to recycle your map so that others can run. u can run a second course for free, but if you intend to do this please try to start your first run early, and make sure you register again so we know who is still out. There is no need to pre-enter for this event, but if you are bringing a group then please contact the Organiser in advance so that we can print enough maps..........................................................Safety: You must download even if you do not finish your course. CLOK strongly recommends that you carry a whistle whilst participating in this (and every) orienteering event. Please remember that competitors take part at their own risk. Orienteering is an adventure sport – your safety while orienteering is your own responsibility.

Course description:Open: 1.6 km with 105m climb Youth / Vet(M/W18- and M/W55+): 1.0 km with 70m climb Junior (M/W14-): 0.8 km with 50m climb Please note that the course lengths are measured along straight lines between the contols, not along the optimum routes. Courses planned by Chris Wright.
