Courses

Course description:First use of newly updated map by Roger Maher. Scale 1:7500. Terrain: National Trust chalk downland. A mix of very runnable grassland, with areas of thicker scrubby vegetation with a network of footpaths. A slope runs along the eastern / northern edge of the map. Courses have been planned to avoid crossing barbed wire fences - use the marked crossing points (gates / stiles). One mandatory crossing point on Blue course. Two bridleways cross the map, be aware that there may be horse riders. Note also that Southwick Hill is also popular with dog walkers.
