| Parking information: | Directions The event will be signposted from the Taff’s Well/Castell Coch exit of the A470 (half a mile north M4 J32). It is less than 5 minutes from the M4 to the parking. Parking Parking is on an access track just off Main Road, Gwaelod-y-Garth. When you are on Main Road It is approximately 200m after the park on the right in woodland. | Description: | The area consists of a small but mature spruce plantation containing old mining details on the south-eastern slope of the Garth. The forest is very open and visibility and runnability are very good throughout. Small paths can be hard to see on the ground. The area is newly mapped for the event. The map is 1:5,000 with 5m contours and drawn to Sprint specifications. |

Courses
| Course description: | There is one course available, a 60 minute Score. This allows the competitor to collect as many controls as possible within an hour. Controls are sited to suit all abilities, ranging from easy to hard. Maps are double sided. Competitors start on Part 1, collecting as many of the controls as they wish, before turning over to Part 2. Part 2 has all paths removed, and is therefore much more difficult. There is no obligation to visit controls on both sides. Controls are shown on the map with their number and value adjacent to the circle (eg: 1-10 = control 1, worth 10 points). Each side also has two legs marked, if these are completed in the order indicated by the arrows, an extra 25 points per leg is gained. |
