| Description: | Within the South Downs National Park on the outskirts on Brighton, the historic Stanmer Estate and Coldean Woods offer a great mix of open mature parkland and deciduous woodland along a SE to NW ridge, with an extensive path network. As the area rises by 110m from the SE to the NW, the longer courses will encounter a fair amount of climb. |

| Course description: | Map based on previous maps by Roger Maher. Update by Neil Crickmore Summer 2015 with minor updates in August 2017. 1:10,000, 5m contours. SI/SIAC: The controls will be enabled for contactless punching but will work as normal for those that don’t own one. Contactless dibbers (SIAC) can be hired. Courses:- Brown (10km, 2 sided map), Blue (6.6km), Green (5.0km), Light Green (3.7km), Orange (3.0km), Yellow (2.4km), White (1.4km). Beginners and newcomers welcome. Note: Participants who might normally run Short Green may wish to consider Lt Green. Note that the start and finish are just a 300m walk away from car parking. |
