Parking information:Parking will be in the Errington Woods public car park. If coming from the west, go past the Wilton chemical works and continue on the A174 towards Saltburn. The event will be signed from the roundabout at grid reference NZ 609223. Turn right (i.e. south) and go up the hill and across a cross-roads. The entrance to the car park is on the left at grid reference NZ 617200, just before the road takes a sharp right at the top of the hill. Nearest Post Code TS11 8EE.

Details

Description:Terrain : Errington Woods is a well established wood with a substantial path / track network, steep-sided slopes and many varied features. This wood is used by many local people from the Marske area, and runners should take this into consideration whilst taking part in the event. Map: Scale 1:7500 size A4, redrawn by Paul Taylor 2018. The courses will be overprinted on the maps, which will be printed on waterproof paper. Separate control descriptions will be available Safety : A comprehensive risk assessment will have been carried out by the organiser, but please remember that competitors take part at their own risk. Orienteering is an adventure sport – your safety while orienteering is your own responsibility. Participants take part at their own risk and are responsible for their own safety during the event. If you have a relevant Medical Condition please complete form at registration. Lone drivers please leave labelled car keys at registration. Long leg cover mandatory e. CLOK strongly recommends that you carry a whistle whilst participating in this (and every) orienteering event. Please make sure that you download even if you do not complete your course. Insurance: Please note that if you have competed in three orienteering events registered with British Orienteering and not joined an orienteering club which is a member of British Orienteering then you are not covered by our public liability insurance Facilities : First Aid at Registration.
