Parking information:Parking will be in the Errington Woods public car park. The entrance to the car park is at grid reference NZ 617201. The nearest postcode is TS11 8EE. You can also get directions if you specify your starting location. If coming from the west, go past the Wilton chemical works and continue on the A174 towards Saltburn. The event will be signed from the roundabout at grid reference NZ 609223. Turn right (i.e. south) and go up the hill and across a crossroads. The entrance to the car park is on the left, just before the road takes a sharp right at the top of the hill.
Dog rules:Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome at this event, and can be taken out into the competition area

Description:The control descriptions will be printed on the maps, and separate loose copies will be available. Map: Scale 1:7,500 Size A4 Redrawn by Paul Taylor in 2018. The courses will be overprinted on the maps, which will be printed on waterproof paper. The control descriptions will be printed on the maps, and separate loose copies will be available. Terrain: Errington Woods is a well established wood with a substantial path / track network, steep-sided slopes and many varied features. There are many areas of brambles, so full leg cover is strongly recommended. This wood is used by many local people from the Marske area, and runners should take this into consideration whilst taking part in the event. In the event of inclement weather waterproofs may be made compulsory. Please come prepared. Facilities: Toilet near Registration. First aid at Registration. No drinks will be provided. Please bring your own refreshments Safety: A comprehensive risk assessment will have been carried out by the Organiser, but please remember that competitors take part at their own risk. Orienteering is an adventure sport – your safety while orienteering is your own responsibility. CLOK strongly recommends that you carry a whistle at this (and every) orienteering event. If you have a relevant medical condition please complete a confidential form at Registration. Lone drivers: Please leave labelled car keys at registration. Please make sure that you download even if you do not complete your course. Insurance: Please note that if you have competed in three orienteering events registered with British Orienteering and you have not joined an orienteering club which is a member of British Orienteering then you are not covered by our public liability insurance.

Course description:Courses: White, Yellow, Orange, Red, Light Green, Short Green, Green, Blue and Brown Note: The Red course has been included to encourage adult runners who are new to orienteering. It is the same navigational difficulty as the Orange course, but is longer. It will give you a good run out with enough navigation to make things interesting
