Location

Venue:Cannop Ponds & Churchill Inclosure
Nearest town:Lydney
Event centre:Forestry England Cannop Ponds car park
Postcode:GL15 4JS
Grid reference:SO610116
Parking information:Due to limited space please car share, if possible. There are two parking options. Closest to Assembly, parking will be in Forestry England’s Cannop Ponds car park and along its access road. Please do not leave this area before noon. Follow tourist signs for Cannop Ponds (approximately GL15 4JS) and gain access from B4426. what3word location - https://w3w.co/native.trapdoor.manicured. There is far more space in Forestry England’s Beechenhurst car park, where there are also permanent toilets, a café with indoor and outdoor seating, Go Ape, play park and a sculpture trail. Follow tourist signs for Beechenhurst (approximately GL16 7EL) and access is again from B4226. what3words location – https://w3w.co/fats.cakes.listening. Follow the family cycle route through the gate with the Sequoia Grove sign, then follow the highlighted route on the map to assembly. The route will not be marked. The same charges apply at both locations, £2 for 2 hours; £4 for 4 hours; £5 all day and £8 for minibuses and motorhomes. Pay machines are at either end of the Cannop Ponds access road, so may be some way from where you are parked. They are closer to the parking areas at Beechenhurst. They take cash, not cards. You may be able to use the RingGo app (+16p), but the phone signal is very poor. You can also pre-book with RingGo online or by calling 0203 046 0063 with location code for Beechenhurst of 31002 (cars) or 31003 (minibus or motorhome) and for Cannop Ponds 31016 (cars) or 31059 (minibus or motorhome). If you are approaching from the east, there are several free parking areas between Dilke Hospital and Speech House Hotel, 2-3 miles from the event. You would help with parking space if you arranged to meet friends in one of these and travelled to Cannop Ponds together. The Blakeney to Parkend road via Wenchford is temporarily closed.
