Courses

Course description:The Estate is a mix of open, fast running parkland and steep wooded terrain with an irregular path network. The main paths are mapped but small and indistinct paths are not. All paths could be muddy/slippery particularly if wet, with exposed tree roots and rocks underfoot, so O-shoes or grippy trail shoes are very much recommended. Ticks are present in Blaise, so fully body cover is required. There is a stream running alongside the metalled path running through the gorge. Under normal conditions this is crossable at many points but may become deep and fast-flowing after heavy rain and should be avoided under such conditions. A particular caution to be aware of is that some of the valley sides have steep crags and the courses have been planned to avoid significant hazards. However, if it looks dangerous please use your common sense err on the side of caution and take a safer route.
