Details

Description:Part of BOK's Local event series, scoring towards Club Senior League and Junior League. Terrain Mixed woodland and meadows, many tracks, and paths. Some undergrowth, thick to impassable in places. Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Full leg coverings are strongly recommended During the summer there has been significant growth of brambles over the whole area but especially in the central wooded slope the challenges are worse than in previous years. Courses have been planned to avoid these areas. A herd of usually placid cows are currently in the enclosure south-west of Duchess pond but could be moved before the event. The white and yellow courses do not visit this area. The steeper paths can be extremely slippery after rain. In wet conditions shoes with good grip will be essential on all courses. The tall vegetation in some of the open areas may or may not be mown by the time of the event. A new paved all-weather path provides good access for all abilities, and the extended sculpture trail with carved artworks is well worth visiting after the race. are currently in the enclosure south-west of Duchess pond but could be moved before the event. The white and yellow courses do not visit this area.
