The PWT started in 1996 as a wild idea! Bringing World Cup orienteering to the cities in front of big crowds and the media. Since then it has grown and grown and in 2001 the sprint discpline was included in the World Championships and now most nations have a sprint championships.
This year's PWT took place in northen Itlay near Venice using similar urban terrain as the 2009 Junior WOC in Italy.

Scott Fraser, Pippa Whitehouse, Hector Haines and Hollie Orr represented GB. A solid result from Scott and valuable experience for both Hector and Hollie.

The famous Venice City Race took place on Sunday and all the GB team raced there, with Pippa producing the best result in 4th place on the Elite.
