The Welsh Championships is taking place near Aberystwyth on the weekend of the 6th and 7th of March. There is a Middle Distance Race on the Saturday at Hafod estate, a beautiful landscaped area with the river Ystwyth running through the area. On the Sunday the Classic Championship is being held at Nant y Arian, 10 miles east of Aberystwyth, consisting of a mixture of open and forested land. A quiz in one of the seafront hotels is also planned for Saturday evening. Further details from www.mid-wales-orienteers.org.uk
