After qualifying 4 men and 5 women for the final the British team had high hopes of some great results in the final today. This was achieved with Ralph Street missing out on a bronze medal by only 17 seconds and on a podium position by only one second. Mairead Rocke also had an outstanding day to take 20th place in the women's race.
The British team also had three more athletes in the top 40, Alasdair McLeod in 36th, Rebecca Harding in 38th and Alice Butt in 40th.
