Instructions on use of the Touch Free Pro system are here

The competition used the IOF approved Emit touch-free punching system. Please see this PDF leaflet for details of the system.

A query was raised by a few people over whether you could punch another control whilst the etag was flashing from a previous control (The etag flashes for 10 secs after a punch to give you time to view it as you move away)?  This was where someone had punched at a wrong control and then moved quickly to another control very close by within 10 secs.

The etag will record a punch at another different control after 1.2 seconds, so effectively you can punch a new control every 2 secs. As an etag can hold 500 punches capacity is not an issue.
