Tayside Orienteers welcomed participants at Perth's Riverside Park

Tayside Orienteers held a fun score activity at Perth's Riverside Park in glorious evening sunshine, welcoming 25 people, a mix of club members and some new faces keen to try out the sport.

Mel Nicoll from Tayside Orienteers, said:  "There was a "world" theme to the evening with each control being hung with a flag from a different country along with a question about this country and lots of extra points to be gained if you could answer all of the questions! This was a new area for most people, great fun with a great atmosphere and lots of enthusiasm, just what orienteering should be about!"

You can read about how other orienteering clubs and schools across the UK took part in World Orienteering Day this year here.

British Orienteering would like to take this opportunity to thank all who joined in with World Orienteering Day and helped in making it a great success!
