Emily Benham won the Middle distance European Championships yesterday in the forest of Ormes near Orleans. A tricky course on Les Labyrinthe, an aptly named map! Flat and fast with areas of tricky path networks.

The European Mountain Bike Orienteering Championships started in France this week and Benham continued her fine form riding home 21 seconds in front of Martina Tichovska from the Czech Republic who finished in second place. 

Is another Euro Gold possible in the Long on Thursday for Benham? who looks in good form for the World Champs in Lithuania next month.
