Nokian Tyres continues as the title sponsor of the World Orienteering Championships. Following on the initial sponsorship with International Orienteering Federation’s (IOF) premium event in 2016 and 2017, a new multi-year contract has been signed.
 

Nokian Tyres as the northernmost tyre manufacturer is the expert of challenging terrain and varying weather conditions. The company’s Nordic values and determination to be a sustainability pioneer in the tyre industry is demonstrated by its safe and eco-friendly products. This is one of the reasons why the partnership with the IOF is a good match for the company.

The main focus of the new agreement is to provide Nokian Tyres' market visibility as the title sponsor of the World Orienteering Championships and an IOF Main Partner. The agreement also expands the cooperation as Nokian Tyres becomes involved in the IOF development project World Orienteering Day, as well as other IOF events, like the IOF Orienteering World Cup.

The 2018 Nokian Tyres World Orienteering Championships will be held in Riga and Sigulda, Latvia August 4-11, 2018.
