Busy Planning Your 2019 Bucket List?

If you haven’t ever tried the sport of Orienteering, then now is the time!

Put Orienteering at the top of your things to do in 2019.

         1. Go Orienteering!

Orienteering is a challenging outdoor adventure sport that exercises both the mind and body. The aim is to navigate in sequence between control points marked on a unique orienteering map and decide the best route to complete the course in the quickest time.

Events are held by clubs across the country offering courses to suit all technical and physical abilities. Volunteers are always on hand to show you how to get started and give you some tips and tricks that will mean you get the most out of your orienteering experience.

We understand that a lot of people might be quite put off by starting as a competitive event, although there is no need to be, which is why we also offer a way to take part in your own time through permanent orienteering courses. These fixed orienteering routes are located across the UK for you to try. You simply download a map and just go! This is a great way of exploring local areas either when you are away on holiday or taking a short break in the UK.

Definitely give orienteering a go and include in your 2019 planning!

Do something different in 2019.  We are sure you will become hooked and will be searching for even more orienteering activities at your local orienteering club as well taking up events further afield.
