National Coaching Conference this weekend

This weekend we look forward to welcoming coaches from across the country to the National Coaching Conference at The University of Nottingham.

75 coaches will hear from a number of exciting presenters inside and out on the field to learn new techniques and help inspire future coaching.

Opening the conference discussing sprint orienteering coaching is keynote speaker Emil Wingstedt, current Halden SK coach and who has previously worked with the GB squad. Other sessions include a sprint coaching practical, physical literacy with young orienteers, safety working in Level D terrain and planning an athlete’s season.

Held within the Humanities building, Saturday’s registration is from 10:30 am with the conference underway at 11 am. Day 1 concludes at 5 pm with Sunday commencing at 9 am through to 2 pm.

Full venue address: The University of Nottingham, Humanities Building, Beeston Lane, Nottingham, NG7 2QL. If arriving by train into Nottingham station, delegates should take the tram line to Beeston/Toton Lane to the University Boulevard stop which is only a short walk away.
