Jenny Nilsson, Project Manager - World Orienteering Day, said:
“All together it was a great way of celebrating World Orienteering Day even if we all couldn’t do it the traditional way. Hopefully we will see more of this type of event in the future that gives orienteering a whole new arena to be seen on. Take care!”

Peter Hart, Chief Executive Officer at British Orienteering, says:
“British Orienteering has been fully supportive of the recent innovative Lockdown Orienteering online challenges being coordinated by GB elite orienteering athlete Chris Smithard. Lockdown Orienteering has provided a wide range of orienteering themed activities and challenges which can be done from the comfort of your sofa. British Orienteering was delighted to see so many of our clubs and members joining in and taking part in the challenges over the four days. It was great to see so many different countries all taking part and competing across the world ‘online’ against each other. Thank you to Chris and his team for all their work and effort in putting together the online challenges for us all to take part in and enjoy.”
