Why not challenge yourself and Get Active this Autumn?

Are you finding these darker nights testing after a long day at school or work?  Feeling like you have been sitting about for months on end – and just want to be doing something different?

Autumn exercise is important for maintaining physical and mental health and Orienteering is extremely well placed to provide an opportunity for individuals, couples, and families to enjoy outside surrounded by autumn colours.

Orienteering is unique in that it can be enjoyed locally and is suitable for ages and abilities.

There are over 500 Permanent Orienteering Courses across the UK providing opportunities of discovering the outdoors locally where you live in a socially distanced way.  Some clubs have also developed these virtually, so you can simply complete courses with your GPS smartphone or watch. Permanent and Virtual Orienteering Courses can be completed at any time, and at your own pace. You just need to download a map and away you go!

Don't forget to tell British Orienteering how you get on.
Tell us how you get on - and help us to inspire and encourage others to take part by posting your orienteering photos on to the British Orienteering’s Facebook page and Twitter account. Don't forget to include the hashtag #getactivethisautumn

What are you waiting for?  Enjoy this autumnal season!
