Day 5: #VolunteersWeek: Last month, 247 people watched second part of British Orienteering's webinar series to support beginner mappers

It was fantastic to see 247 people logged in to the second part of British Orienteering's two-part webinar mapping series showing there is a real desire from our members to get involved in driving our sport of orienteering forward in this crucial way.

Along with supporting documents, the webinar is now uploaded onto the British Orienteering website in the Training and Support section of the webinar page here. Other useful material can be found on the Mapping page here.

Thanks to our four experts; Martin Hore (Suffolk Orienteering Club), Simon Starkey (Leicestershire Orienteering Club), Ben Mitchel (Swansea Bay Orienteering Club) and John Moody (Cornwall Orienteering Club) who clearly presented where to get base material and how to set up a map.
Their methods and top tips were greatly appreciated as reflected in this participant feedback:

"I thank you for giving me the opportunity to attend the webinar which was rich in information, knowledge and skills shared by the panelists. Being a beginner in Orienteering, I, personally learnt a lot and would like to thank the whole team for this initiative."

"Just to say how much appreciated and informative these were. Thanks to all involved."

"Thank you for the invite, I really enjoyed the webinar and got so much out of it."
"Please pass on my thanks to all the speakers." ?

"Wow. That was a truly professional, knowledgeable, well-presented, well-timed evening. Very impressed."
