Preparations for British Orienteering Night Champs Weekend are well in hand

Report by Organiser Pat Macleod, North Gloucestershire Orienteering Club

Pat Macleod, Organiser of this year's British Orienteering Night Championships Weekend gives an update for all those looking forward to attending this weekend event held at the end of November 2021, saying:  "Courses are finalised and maps are going to the printers shortly for proofing.  The annual gorse management programme on the Common, which was previously something of a risk to the accuracy of vegetation mapping on the night, now seems very likely to have had almost no effect on the relevant parts of the map as far as we are concerned.

We are pleased to confirm that Compasspoint has confirmed that they will be in attendance.

If you have entered without placing a food order, but perhaps now wish to do so, Adrian Moir at Fabian4 has created a fast path food order only link which you can use to order food separately from your existing entry.  Just use this link to place your order."

The fast path food order link can be found here if you wish to place an order.

Pat continues:  "The more food that is pre-ordered, the easier it will be for the golf club to cater for everyone."

"The first closing date for entries is on Sunday 14 November 2021.  Entries will still be accepted up to Monday 22 November 2021.  However, we have to seed and allocate start times and get bibs printed, so do please try and enter by the 14 November if at all possible.  Seeding will be based on rankings as of that date.  The final details for the night will be published shortly after the first closing date, but will not be substantially different from what is currently available on the British Orienteering and North Gloucestershire Orienteering Club websites."
