Compass Sport Cup Qualifying Rounds all set for 12-13 March 2022

The second set of Compass Sport Cup Qualifying rounds will be held on 12 and 13 March 2022 with an estimated 1,200 competitors taking part.

Forth Valley Orienteers host the Scottish event and based on past form should qualify for the Final which they host on 16 October 2022 at Devilla and Tulliallan.    

Humberside and Lincolnshire Orienteers host the combined North East and Yorkshire round at Duncombe Park and Windy Pits, kindly loaned to them by Eborienteers (EBOR).  South Yorkshire Orienteers the 2020 winners have a strong team and if they win Airienteers will also qualify. The Trophy round will be a close competition, previous winners East Pennine Orienteering Club will be pushed hard by Cleveland Orienteering Klub who has a strong team.

Down South the results are harder to predict, and it may depend on how strong a team club can turn out. Southdowns Orienteers, previous qualifiers take on South London Orienteers who qualified for the 2020 Final. At Rushall Woods Thames Valley Orienteering Club take on Southern Navigators in the Cup and Guildford who qualified for the 2020 Final may be pushed by the home team, Mole Valley Orienteers.

Cup: The winning team qualifies for the Final. If Forth Valley Orienteers (FVO) win, then the second-placed Cup team also qualifies for the final.
Trophy: The first and second-placed Trophy teams qualify for the Final. If Interlopers Orienteering Club (INT) win or come second, then the first three placed Trophy teams qualify for the final. (Previous Final winners rule and 8 club's rule).

Trophy: East Pennine Orienteering Club (EPOC)*, Claro Orienteers (CLARO), Northern Navigators (NN), Newcastle and Tyneside Orienteers (NATO), Humberside and Lincoln Orienteers (HALO), South East Lancs. Orienteering Club (SELOC), Eborienteers (EBOR), Cleveland Orienteering Klub (CLOK).
Cup: The winning team qualifies for the Final. If South Yorkshire Orienteers (SYO) win, then the second-placed Cup team also qualifies for the final. (Previous Final winners rule).
Trophy: The first and second-placed Trophy teams qualify for the Final. If East Pennine Orienteering Club (EPOC) win, or come second, then the first three placed Trophy teams qualify for the final. (last year's top-3 finalist and 8 club rules).
