Tonight, Megan capped off a highly successful World Championships in Denmark by becoming World Champion to add to her silver medals in the mixed relay and individual silver in the Knock-Out Sprint. She becomes only the third British athlete to become World Champion following the footsteps of Yvette Baker in 1999 and Jamie Stevenson in 2003.

Alice Leake also had an excellent individual sprint race at the World Championships last night winning the bronze medal.

There was a huge disappointment for Kris Jones who finished in third place in the men’s event but was later disqualified for mispunching. Ralph Street had another good and solid performance to finish in 6th place.
