World Trail Orienteering Championships, which will take place on July 19-23 in Jelenia Góra, a city in southwestern Poland, at the foot of the Karkonomountains. The terrain is mostly forested with many rocks and stones. 

The World Trail Orienteering Championship is held every other year. The competition is held over a week and contains 3 events: PreO, with a two-day competition, TempO, and Relay. In PreO and Relay, there are two classes, P-class for physically challenged and open class, while in TempO there is only one class.

The Championships start today with the Model Event taking place in Borowice and is a warm-up day to get a feel of what is in store. 

The terrain:  small climb, contour and stones/rock details, mostly good visibility.
