Wessex and Wimborne Orienteering Clubs deliver Find Your Way Project

Report by Kay Hawke, Project Officer, Find Your Way Project

Wessex and Wimborne Orienteering Clubs have joined forces this year to deliver the Find Your Way Project across areas of Dorset. Their collaboration has seen many activities take place as part of their Find Your Way Summer Series in addition to outreach work with local community groups, local scout groups, and schools, and involvement in creating Commonwealth Games trails around the county this summer.

They have also had the pleasure of welcoming dignitaries with the opening of their new Permanent and Virtual Orienteering Courses at their events and continue to enjoy support for the Project from local councils such as Dorset, Sherborne, and Dorset NHS. They have supported and promoted the Project.   Jason Falconer has been the lead for the Project in the area and has utilised his contacts, experience, and knowledge to establish an exciting Find Your Way programme of events that will continue into 2023.

Another Find Your Way activity took place on Saturday 20 August at the scenic Moors Valley Country Park before rounding off the Summer Series at Milldown, Blandford in September.

Well done everyone!
