Race the Castles in Yorkshire starts tomorrow!

12 different orienteering events in just 9 days, all with a castle theme.

The event kicks off tomorrow (Saturday 17 August) with the Sheffield City Race.  This is a National Urban Event and Sheffield Castle archaeological site will feature!  Hosted by South Yorkshire Orienteers (SYO) this event is part of the UK Orienteering League (UKOL) presenting an opportunity for those who have already entered to grab more UKOL points.  Find out more about this event on the South Yorkshire Orienteers website here.

On Sunday (18 August) Race the Castles event head to Lincoln City.  This event is part of the East Midlands Urban League 2019/Race the Castles (UKOL) and is being hosted by Lincoln Orienteering Club.  The annual Lincoln City Race on Sunday will, this year, be running out of the Lawns for its registration, assembly and start arena. Taking in the sights of the historic city centre, the race will form one of the main events in the ‘Race the Castles in Yorkshire’ series, as well as being part of the 2019 UKOL, UKUL and EMUL leagues.

Wishing all those entered to compete at these events in Sheffield and Lincoln this weekend a great time, and fingers crossed for dry weather!

Race the Castles will continue next week and will be heading to the following locations in Yorkshire throughout the week.
