Since the 1980s the park has changed and now incorporates the International Swimming Centre in the SE corner, the famous Tollcross Park Rose Gardens and the refurbished Winter Gardens Glasshouse which STAG was granted permission to use as a base. The Centre offers parking spaces, a café and toilet facilities.
Although Orienteering is primarily an individual sport the extension to make it a Team Sport is always well received and DuO continues to receive regular support from the Orienteering Community. Alongside the main race a MicrO 7 control course was enjoyed by several under 10s with young Oliver completing the course both on foot and on his bike several times.

STAG’s Rudi Paul (Walsh Trophy Winner) updated the 1:4,000 map as he planned the courses creating 8 possible gaffles in the process and his courses – especially the Fun in the Rose Beds – added a further dimension to the courses.
STAG wish to thank Glasgow City Council, Tollcross Housing Association and Robin Strain (ELO) for their ongoing support which contributed to another great day in Glasgow.

The new DuO Trophy created by STAG’s Mastercraftsman Arnis Saltums, headed south to West Cumbria for the first time – well done Jamie and Daisy Rennie.
