This year marks the 50th British Relay Championships - for most classes, that is – but not all! British Orienteering’s historian Clive Allen – with Simon Errington’s help on statistics – takes us through some of the history of the event, and how it has evolved over the past 50 years since it’s inception. The road to WOC 2024 is truly underway! On 26-28 January 2024, Edinburgh University Orienteering Club held the first of 2024s major events in the lead up to the international event being held in Scotland in July. Here, organiser of the Big Weekend, EUOC member and Development Squad athlete Jim Bailey provides an insight to what unfolded in the lead up and during the event.

North Gloucestershire Orienteering Club hosted the warm-up event for the Compass Sport Cup final at Highmeadow in the Forest of Dean this year. Andy Stott volunteered as the planner/organiser for a NGOC league event at Highmeadow when the fixtures list was released at the end of last year and in March and gives his account here on planning the event.
