Courses

Course description:The terrain is fairly flat, mainly runnable common and parkland with numerous paths for some speedy running. Some defined thickets and rougher terrain in places. Trail shoes and full leg coverage are highly recommended. Updated 1:5,000 scale map with 2.5m contours, drawn from Lidar data, and updated autumn 2022. The area is popular with civilians, dog walkers, runners, cyclists, and horse riders, please be mindful of other users. The Bristol Bath cycle path runs through the area and is likely to be busy, please take extra care. Whilst runners on courses on light green and above will cross a minor road which bisects the area, please do not run along it. It is marked with purple crosses. Some of the field around the scout hut, only visited by longer courses, has small patches of out of bounds for wild flowers. Please respect these. Control descriptions will be printed on the maps with loose descriptions available at the start (written descriptions for Orange and Yellow only).
