Details
| Description: | Part of BOK's Urban Series, held most Wednesday evenings from late April to early July. Short, Medium and Long courses available. Best 6 results on each course score for series prizes, with separate male and female competitions. The short course will be suitable for Juniors (under 16). Under-16s may only compete on the Medium or Long course if closely accompanied (not just shadowed) by a responsible adult. Starts 5.30pm – 7.30 pm. Courses close at 8.30 pm. We must promptly vacate certain areas of the courses and will be removing controls immediately after 8.30 pm, so if you are likely to take longer than an hour please do not arrive for a late start, or you are likely to be disqualified from the results. The Start of the event will be 0.5km walk from the assembly point on a marked route. Please allow 10 mins to walk from the assembly/car park to the start. The Finish will be in the Dursley War Memorial Recreational Ground adjacent to The Pulse and the assembly point / car park. |

Courses
| Course description: | Short, Medium and Long courses available. Typical urban environment with tarmac and paved footpaths, alleyways, grass playing fields, and school grounds. Dursley is on the edge of the Cotswolds escarpment, and all three courses involve some noticeable changes in altitude. Road or trail shoes, no spikes but preferably with good grips, are suitable. Full leg and arm cover should not be required but please wear clothing suitable for whatever weather conditions are prevailing on the day! The Long and Medium courses will have route choices which might include country roads with no pavement. Competitors must take extra care for road traffic when running on roads where there is no pavement, and not take undue risk when crossing them – particularly on blind corners. |
