Hamish Willis leaves British Orienteering

It is with regret that we announce that Hamish Willis will be leaving his post as Community Orienteering Coach for the North of England on the 29th March 2013.

Hamish has been a key member of the Development Team since 2009 initially working as a Regional Development Officer for the North West before taking on the role as Regional Community Orienteering Coach for the whole North area. Hamish's work has been crucial in supporting Community Orienteering coaches delivering exciting and interesting sessions to help support new and existing participants. Feedback from coaches has always been that they have valued his input and we thank Hamish for all that he has done for British Orienteering. Hamish is also a key member of Pendle Forest Orienteers and he will continue to deliver  orienteering activities both for his club and others in the future. He departs with our best wishes for the future and we take this opportunity to thank him for his hard work with British Orienteering.

Hamish's departure leaves a gap in our support for the development programme in the North. Moving forward British Orienteering will continue to support the development of Community Orienteering projects in the North and if you have any questions please contact Steve Vernon either by email svernon@britishorienteering.org.uk or phone via the National Office.
