Scottish Orienteering Association: Chief Operating Officer

The Scottish Orienteering Association (SOA) is the national governing body of orienteering in Scotland, founded in 1962, with its office at Glenmore Lodge, Aviemore.  Although they are a relatively small governing body, orienteering in Scotland is a dynamic and growing sport.  SOA is also a company limited by guarantee and a registered charity.

They are seeking to appoint a Chief Operating Officer to work at their national office at Glenmore Lodge to provide operational leadership and strategic support to the Board of the SOA (who are also Trustees of the charity) across the areas of governance, planning and human resources.

The post is part time, 2.5 days per week, but working hours are flexible.

The salary for the half-time appointment is circa £15,000 per year.
