Jackie Newton, Performance Manager, said “We have set ourselves the target of a medal at these championships, something we have shown by selecting these three athletes early so they can move forward with their preparations. They are three exceptionally talented athletes who, with strong performance histories, demonstrated their fitness and skill at the JK Orienteering Festival last week. All three have been on the podium at WOC in the past and we expect them to make the step up this year and to perform at a level that places them amongst the medals.”
