Organising Orienteering Events Training

Organising Orienteering Events

BOK will be hosting two ‘Organising Orienteering Events’ courses on Monday 14th December. They are sponsored by British Orienteering and are open to all their members.

The aim of the courses is to prepare individuals for organising low level orienteering events.  They will be suitable for those with little or no experience of organising orienteering events.  It is preferable, but not essential, to have previously attended an ‘Event Safety Workshop’.

BOK would also like to identify instructors for running future, similar courses.  If you are interested in doing this it would also be worthwhile attending.

Date:  Monday 14 December 2015

Time:  3pm to 6pm or 7pm to 10pm prompt (please arrive 15 min before)

Location:  Avon Riding Centre for the Disabled, Kingsweston Road, Henbury, Bristol, BS10 7QT (opposite the Blaise Castle car park)

Food:  Free hot and cold drinks

Tutor:  Dan McAuley, Vayops Ltd (contracted by British Orienteering)

Registration:  Please let Alan know which course you would like to attend (3pm or 7pm) and give him your name, club, British Orienteering number, telephone number and email address before 7 Dec.  There is no cost.
