Then join us for a fun and informative day and take part in our Teaching Orienteering Part 1 course.
Date: Thursday 12 April 2018
At: White Hall Outdoor Education Centre, Long Hill, Buxton, SK17 6SX
Time: Arrival from 08.45 am for a 09.00 am start. Finishes at 4.00pm.
Refreshments included, please bring a packed lunch.
Please wear outdoor clothing as the majority of the training will take place outside.
Cost: £65 per person (this includes a payment to the British Orienteering Association, which covers a certificate of attendance and a CD of resources to use in your setting).

This course will build your confidence in teaching orienteering. At the end of the day you will be able to:
Who is the training for?
The training is aimed at teachers, youth sector workers and anyone working in schools and outdoor centres. The training delivers the knowledge, understanding and practical ability to teach the basic skills of orienteering. Anyone over the age of 16 may attend the course.
Once you have completed this training you will be able to deliver the Orienteering Young Leader Award or attend the British Orienteering Teaching Orienteering Part 2 training.
The course last 6 hours and each person attending will receive a certificate and a CD of resources to take back and use in your setting.
