UK Orienteering League continues in Liverpool this weekend

The weekend of competition begins on Saturday with race 21 of the UKOL series taking place at Formby, just up the coast from Liverpool. Formby is an area of wooded and grassed dunes, generally very runnable, but also with intricate contour detail. It’ll be a good test of careful navigation and running speed in the faster sections.

Then on Sunday race 22 in the UKOL series takes place at the University of Liverpool. The format is two short Sprint courses, with times being combined to determine the winners. The urban environment of the University Campus and Cathedral Precinct will provide very different challenges from Formby Dunes.
