North Wiltshire Orienteering Club Galoppen and Yvette Baker Qualifier

On Sunday 7th April North Wiltshire Orienteers will host the South West Orienteering Association Galoppen Level C Ranking Event and Yvette Baker Trophy & Shield Qualifier at Savernake Forest.

Savernake is a privately owned ancient woodland, home to hundreds of “veteran” oak and beech trees including the famous King of Limbs. It is an exciting and challenging forest to run, with a network of rides and tracks across varied vegetation and deep valleys. Eight courses from white to brown will be available for all levels and abilities, as well as a string course near the assembly area.

Organiser David Livingstone said:  "Orienteering in Savernake is always one of the highlights of our programme, and holding a qualifying round of the Yvette Baker Junior Inter-Club competition makes this year particularly special. The map is new for this year which we are very excited about.  We hope the teams will enjoy navigating the historic forest and wish them all the best of luck!”

British Orienteering would like to thank David Livingstone and all volunteers from North Wiltshire Orienteering Club for all their hard work in organising this event for all to enjoy.  We would like to take this opportunity to wish all a great and fun filled day of orienteering!
