Wishing the GB team the best of luck in the Middle distance Final today

The Middle Distance will take place near Smržovka, situated in Jablonec nad Nisou district. The forest is a challenging mountain terrain with broken ground, partly marshy, hilly and physically demanding. The competitors will meet steep slopes with granite boulders and cliffs (map link).

The qualification races (3 heats per gender) is a shortened Middle distance with 3,5 – 4 km course lengths. The Middle distance final consists of the competitors placed number 15 and better in each qualification race.

Results for the GB team earlier today:

Women’s Middle Results - Middle Qualification race

Cat Taylor - Heat A - 15th

Megan Carter-Davies - Heat B - 15th 

Grace Molloy - Heat C - 20th

Middle distance today

This means both Cat and Megan will progress to the Middle Final later today.

Men’s Official Results in the Middle Qualification:

Ralph Street - Heat A - 8th

Peter Bray - Heat B - 13th

Alastair Thomas - Heat C - 16th.

As it stands, Ralph and Peter will be through to the final later today, unfortunately Alastair just missed out!
