British Orienteering Launches 2022 Volunteer and Mapping Awards Today

Each year British Orienteering presents a number of awards to recognise the incredible effort and impact delivered by clubs, coaches, mappers, and volunteers across orienteering.

Today is the last day of #VolunteersWeek and British Orienteering is delighted to announce the launch of their Volunteers and Mapping Awards for 2022.  Nominations are now open.  All nominations for the awards this year should be made by Sunday 5 March 2023.

This year British Orienteering is excited to announce another new category this year – the Respect the Environment Award.

British Orienteering would like to thank everyone involved in last year’s review of our awards process which was a great success and led to a number of improvements including:

  • The move to online nomination forms, which are quicker and easier for you to complete.
  • New Awards – this year we are excited to announce another new category – the Respect the Environment Award
  • The award winners celebrated – award winners will be presented their awards before the medal ceremony at the end of the JK Day 1 and all nominations will be announced and celebrated online.

Nominations for the awards below should be made by Sunday 5 March 2023.

Further Information, Guidance, and Nomination Forms can be found below for each category.
