Description: | Terrain: Pretty Corner is steeply contoured, being part of the Cromer Ridge, formed at the end of the last Ice Age. Unfortunately recent felling, which started 2 weeks before the event, has resulted in the south east being out of bounds and as a result we are unable to provide a suitable Brown course. Courses have been planned to take into account the steepness of the area. The bracken is starting to die down but courses have been planned to avoid the worst areas. There are some areas of slow undergrowth but this is not as extensive as in previous years. With the recent rainfall, Paths, raised walkways and tracks are slippery, plus the valley sides are very soft underfoot. There are numerous small seasonal paths which are not mapped. There are a number of small makeshift hides in some areas and these have not been mapped. Pretty Corner is a public access forest used by walkers, horse riders and cyclists amongst others. Please respect other forest users. |
