Description: | Low-key Saturday morning event aimed at local Orienteers and newcomers of all ages, including families. Forms part of the SO autumn league (September-January). 4 courses - Blue & Green for experienced Orienteers (5.6km & 3.6km), Orange & Yellow for newcomers, families & children (2.4km & 1.4km). Turn up and enter on the day - no pre-booking required. |

Course description: | Map: 1:5000 5m contours updated summer 2015. Terrain: A mix of woodland (thick in places), open grassland, prominent main tracks and many minor tracks. Generally undulating with a little rise in the NE of the map. Many parts of the undergrowth in the open areas has nettles and brambles. Former chalk quarry area used only on the blue and green courses. |
