Parking information:From the west use A259. go down East Dean Road into Eastbourne and at traffic lights at foot of hill turn right onto Summerdown Road. At bottom of Summerdown Road bend into Paradise Drive. In 1Km turn left into Carlisle Road immediately turn left into Gaudick Road , turn right into Trevin Lower Car Park at University of Brighton. Limited parking, please share if possible

Details

Description:Saturday morning event aimed at SO club members and beginners of all ages, including families. Pashley and the Warren is a downland area overlooking Eastbourne. A mixture of open downland with many paths and thickets, together with a steep wooded slope. 4 courses on offer, an easy "yellow" course of around 1.5km for children, a slightly longer "Orange" course (approx 2.5km) for progressing juniors and families, a more difficult "Green" course for approx 3.5km for experienced orienteers and a longer / more physically "Blue" course of approx 5.5km for the most able.

Courses

Course description:SOGs are friendly club events where children and newcomers are very welcome. Yellow and Orange courses are suitable for children to run on their own with a bit of practice. Adults are welcome to shadow children until they are confident to go on their own. Green and Blue courses are run or walked by any age group - you can race competitively or just enjoy the woodland. There are two series of events - autumn and spring, of approximately 10 events each.
