Parking is very limited. There is some parking on a forest road near registration, and a few places on the side of the nearby minor road. The alternative parking is at Creigau recreation ground, from where there will be a level, off-road, marked route of about 1.5K to the event.

Newly mapped, this is a mature woodland with old mine workings.
The Area: Mixed well contoured woodland with much evidence of mining and quarrying activities. Danger area are fenced and marked as out of bounds. No courses need to cross any fences. Paths are indistinct in places and are likely to be muddy. Map: 1:5000, 5m contours. Surveyed October 2018 by Dave Peel. A4 size, pre-printed on waterproof paper.
The road must be crossed at the marked crossing point. Running down the road is forbidden.
Safety: Competitors take part at their own risk. A whistle is highly recommended. A hooded waterproof jacket may be compulsory in the event of bad weather. The area is heavily used by dog walkers, often with a large number of noisy dogs. Mountain bikers also use the area. Please be courteous to other users of the area.
