Description: | Terrain: Varied urban terrain with small alleyways, residential areas and some open parkland.
Map:
1:5,000 scale. A3 size for courses A-E and A4 for courses F and G. The courses will be overprinted on the maps, which will be printed on waterproof paper.
The control descriptions will be printed on the maps, and separate loose copies will be available at Registration.
Facilities:
Toilet in the Leisure Centre. First aid at the Finish.
No drinks will be provided at the Finish. Please bring your own.
There are food and drink vending machines in the Leisure Centre and there are many shops, cafes and restaurants in the town centre, which is about 10 minutes' walk south from the Leisure Centre or adjacent to free parking spaces on the High Street.
Safety:
Remember that you must download even if you have not completed your course.
A comprehensive risk assessment will have been carried out by the Organiser, but please remember that competitors take part at their own risk. Orienteering is an adventure sport – your safety while orienteering is your own responsibility.
Lone drivers: Please leave labelled car keys at Registration.
If you have a relevant medical condition please complete a form at Registration.
CLOK recommends that you carry a whistle whilst participating in this (and every) orienteering event.

Insurance: Please note that if you have competed in three orienteering events registered with British Orienteering and you have not joined an orienteering club which is a member of British Orienteering then you are not covered by our public liability insurance. |
