Event centre:Skelder Road
Postcode:YO21 1SZ
Grid reference:NZ8500993
Parking information:Parking will be in a field on the west side of Skelder Road, which runs north from the A171 about 8 km west of Whitby. The entrance to the parking field is at grid reference NZ 850093. The What3words reference is ///plus.hillsides.rider. After 500 metres, turn left into the parking field. Please park carefully as directed by marshalls. IMPORTANT NOTE FOR AFTER THE EVENT Turning right on to the A171 (to head west towards Guisborough) is quite hazardous. Please take great care ..... or consider heading north from the event and going via Dunsley and Newholme to join the A171 at a safer junction near Whitby.
Dog rules:Well behaved dogs are welcome in the car parking field, but must be kept on leads and but must not be taken out into the competition area. (There may be sheep in the motocross area adjacent to the parking field.)

Details

Description:Terrain: Technically challenging but runnable terrain in a wide variety of mixed woodland, including mature beech, pine and larch trees. There are no crags in the competition area, but the ground may be "quite damp" in places. Full leg cover is required. Please note that all courses cross the motocross circuit, which is open grassland with some high fences. You must not cross these high fences, which are shown on the map as thicker black lines. Map: Scales 1:10,000 and 1:7,500 The 1:10,000 map uses some special symbols. There is a key to these symbols on the map but, in summary:- A black cross denotes a man-made feature (usually a hide). A green cross denotes a rootstock higher than 2.5m. A thick black line in the motocross area denotes a fence not to be crossed. The control descriptions will be printed on the maps, and loose copies will be available at the Start. The control descriptions for the Yellow and Orange courses are written. The control descriptions for the other courses are pictorial. Facilities: Toilet in the car parking field. First aid at Download. No drinks will be provided. Please bring your own refreshments. No key drop.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Safety: Please see the Covid-19 section at the top of this flyer.
